# The platform runs the firm. You keep the strategy.

> Kestrel Terminal is the open-source workstation. kestrel.markets is the platform that runs a trading firm around it: the scarce complements a strategy generator can never manufacture for itself. Execution authority, certified evidence, machine-payable commerce, a risk architecture. You keep the strategy and the P&L; the platform runs the floor.

Evidence is the first complement, so start there. Point the CLI at a real record and reproduce it byte-for-byte on your own machine, no account and no trust in our uptime.

```bash
npx kestrel.markets certify https://kestrel.markets/proof/art_fe301064bdcfbe45bf4ecf85
```

## The scarce thing was never the strategy

If an agent can generate strategies without limit, the strategy is not the scarce thing, and its complements become the business. Authority: an execution scope only a human signature can mint. Evidence: a certified record anyone can recompute. Commerce: a headless agent completes it on its own, settling a priced Operation by wallet. A risk architecture that bounds what a strategy is allowed to do. The platform sells the complements; you keep the strategy that rides them.

P&L is the one agent output that needs no human judgment to price, which is why this is the vertical where the full stack is worth building. And because the first proof needs no account, the agent is the one that arrives first: it discovers, builds, and proves value before a human signs up or pays.

## Disclosure is your dial

Every record on the platform is certified the same way. Publishing it is a separate choice, and the choice is yours. Keep a record certified-but-private and it is proprietary edge. Publish it and it becomes a track record anyone can recompute. The same primitive serves the prop desk that hides its edge and the poster who wants the receipt seen, and the platform never renders a name you have not given.

## What runs the floor today

| Complement | Status |
| --- | --- |
| Certified evidence | Live now. A free, anonymous sim ends at a proof URL; certify reproduces any record byte-for-byte, graded against the do-nothing baseline with losses on the record. |
| Machine-payable commerce | The mechanism: each unit of work is quoted as a machine-readable 402 Offer an agent settles by wallet, or a human claim-and-fund. The meters are on /docs/platform/pricing. |
| Execution authority | The design, not a live surface: a live order rides a human-signed Envelope, BYO-plan and BYO-broker. A wallet cannot authorize it, and nothing here implies it is live today. |
| Risk architecture | Budget and limits are fields on the Envelope that carries the authority, so a scope is bounded before it is ever exercised. |

Kestrel Terminal — the market workstation for agents.

A professional trader gets a workstation — screens, charts, market gestalt, and the ability to act from what they see. An agent gets a JSON endpoint. Kestrel Terminal closes that gap.
